Artist Development
Richard Chappell Dance passionately support early career artists through commissioning, programming and mentoring. Their work proactively responds to access barriers Richard Chappell felt in his early career, making significant step changes for artists.
Since 2018, they have annually supported artists to receive grant funding for the first time.
Since 2022, they have programmed artists into their mixed bill programmes in the South West of England. This provides tangible ways for artists to receive programming fees which cover the full costs of presenting work alongside bespoke mentoring packages.
